Party planning.

Kai is turning 3 and Annie is turning 5 in the next few weeks. We are having a carnival party for them. We love carnivals! For the flag banner above I purchased fabric and bias tape from my favorite local fabric store and cut out triangles. Since I am only a little crafty this is a really simple fabric banner. I folded the bias tape in half with a strip of heat n bond in the middle, then ironed each triangle on individually. For the shirt I used more heat n bond to apply the number three.

Paper straws are pretty trendy right now, but I just love them. I wasn't able to find any locally. I ordered the straws and the fruit baskets from Shop Sweet Lulu on-line. I thought the fruit baskets would be fun for favors and the color works well with the carnival theme. I didn't want the party to be full of commercial characters, but for the favors I let Annie and Kai choose their favorite thing right now. Annie chose Hello Kitty. I got the Hello Kitty favors at Target and a local party store. I made the Carnival sign from a white board Todd brought home from the warehouse. I used scrapbook paper and red tickets for the sign.

Favorite colors for a party! Cant wait to see the cute aftermath. Wish I was home too cause I would lend you oodles of carnival stuff from Ava's party a year ago. So many ideas!
