Kindergarten!

When Carson was a newborn people always told me that kids grow up so fast. I think today it really hit me what they meant, and I agree.

Carson woke up so excited for his first day. As he was getting ready he said to Todd, "does this mean I won't get to go to all the stores with mommy anymore"? Carson is so independent he wasn't nervous at all about school and when his friends lined up in front of the classroom he went with them, set his backpack down, and didn't look back. It took me a minute to realize where he was since I was talking to other mom's. I reminded him that he was in the other class and he just picked up his backpack and walked into the other line.

I love Carson's backpack. It was Todd's all through elementary school and his mom kept it and gave it to Carson a few weeks ago.

Carson was so happy when we picked him up. His teacher gave him a treat with a note that said "my first day was a piece of cake'. One day down for our cute kindergartner.
