Disneyland

The last time Todd went to Disneyland was the first time we met. I was twelve and he was fourteen. The Disneyland hotel, by the boat races, my brother Jason ran into his friend Todd who at the time was at least a head taller than him. As Todd walked away my Grandpa said to Jason, "you better be careful I think your friend could beat you up". I remember thinking my brother's friend is cute. Sixteen years later we were back, married and with two of our three kids.

They have the cutest princess lunch at California Adventure and each princess comes to your table to sign your book and take her picture with you.

Annie is the perfect age to see the princesses. She loved them all. She told me when she grows up she wants to be a princess and marry a prince..

She smiled through the whole lunch.

Carson is in love with Star Wars. He's never seen the movies, but he is a little obsessed.

Darth Vader is his favorite. We watched Jedi training twice.

The lego store at Downtown Disney was one of Carson's favorite parts of the whole vacation.

Annie's favorite rides were the teacups and thunder mountain. The first time we went on the teacups she leaned over to me and said, "I hope that somebody doesn't try to drink us".

Carson's favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear ride. Carson had to get this gun and everyone wanted to play with it.

We knew our kids had energy, but we were still amazed that they went non-stop from the time the park opened until it closed at 9:00. Disneyland was a little bit of an emotional roller coaster for Annie. She kept getting scared on the dark rides. Just when I thought I was the worst mom ever for taking her on Pirates-she was hiding and screaming tucked beneath my legs-the ride broke. Ha! She was always fine once a ride was over, but I did feel like we were scarring her for life a few times. One of my all time favorite days though and I can't stop thinking about when we can go back.
