Cowboy Day

This was Annie's first year for cowboy day. She might have looked more like a pioneer than a cowgirl :). After our last post Annie was surprised with a bag of beautiful indoor rocks and she thought the bag was the perfect accessory for her outfit.

Getting these two ready for cowboy day made me almost cry. They only have a few more months of school and I'm going to miss sending them off together.
I will miss Carson jumping out of the car and holding the door for Annie while she leisurely gets out of the car. He is patient the whole time until she finally walks through the door and he slowly lets it close as they walk into school together.
I will miss seeing them wait with the aid when I come to pick them up with tired, yet happy faces.
I will miss them talking about bumping into each other throughout the day or hearing them talk about seeing each others friends.
I never thought I would have kids so close together in school, but I have loved it, and I'm so grateful that it worked out this way.
